Ann McMillan: Owner

I purchased Steinburg from Harmut Ronnau in the spring of 2005. I was interested in Steinburg primarily as a competitive FEI schoolmaster, but also intended to make his rare and valuable bloodlines available to breeders in North America. Herr Ronnau purchased Steinburg as a three-year old. He trained and competed Steingburg in Europe up to I1. Herr Ronnau currently resides in Holstein. A well-respected trainer and owner of multiple approved Holsteiner stallions, Herr Ronnau is committed to the preservation of proven bloodlines that contribute to the quality and substance of today's modern sporthorse.

I am an active dressage enthusiast. I live in St. Paul with my husband Doug, four children, James, Marley, Spencer and Evan and dog, Kramer. I have trained with Gerhard Ablinger for the past eight years and feel very fortunate to have someone of his professional integrity, theoretical knowledge and practical experience in our area.

Gerhard Ablinger, Reitlehrer FN : Trainer

A good friend and former colleague of Herr Ronnau, Gerhard is a certified Reitlehrer, FN. He and Herr Ronnau apprenticed together with the highly-regarded Festerling outside of Munich, Germany. Herr Festerling is one of the select few in Reitmeisters in Germany and continues a life-long effort to preserve classical methods in the training and development of sport horses. Gerhard also holds his USDF gold medal.

Mr. Ablinger, a native of Austria, came to this country as the Chief Trainer for the traveling Lippizan company. While touring, Gerhard met his wife Kari Remington. He and Kari married and today, with their two children Lexi and Eric, currently reside in Stillwater, Minnesota. There, Gerhard and Kari operate a successful dressage training facility and continue to promote the ideals of classical dressage.
